چکیده

The froth flotation technique can be considered one of the most efficient methods for separation minerals. Prior to utilizing any physicochemical method, size mined ore must decreased facilitate release valuable materials. This practice, along with increased exploitation ores that carry fine mineral particles caused production and ultrafine which are difficult recover classical enrichment methods, due their different characteristics compared coarser particles. It is established float, leading losses minerals, mainly low collision efficiency bubbles. Moreover, require higher reagent consumption fact have a specific area, finally, limited by kinetic energy. Flotation fines enhanced either decreasing bubble diameter or increasing apparent size, moreover, enhancing collector’s adsorption (their hydrophobic behavior) using alternative reagents (non-ionic co-collectors). In present research, experiments on hybrid electrolytic column produce microbubbles (−50 μm), were carried out recovering magnesite (−25 μm) addition, synergistic effect anionic/non-ionic collectors studied enhancement recovery. Experimental results so far designate particle recovery approximately 8% addition microbubbles. Finally, anionic/non-anionic led improvement almost 12%.

Synergistic Adsorption and Flotation of New Mixed Cationic/Nonionic Collectors on Muscovite

The mixed cationic collector cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTAC) and nonionic collector octanol (OCT) was found to exhibit a synergistic effect on the flotation and adsorption of muscovite. To understand the underlying synergistic mechanism, flotation, contact angle, surface tension, and adsorption measurements were carried out. The results obtained from flotation measurements indicated that...

Flotation and adsorption of mixed cationic/anionic collectors on muscovite mica

The adsorption of dodecylamine acetate (DAA), sodium oleate (NaOL) and DAA–NaOL mixtures on muscovite mica were investigated through flotation tests, zeta potential measurements, and pyrene fluorescence tests. The results show that the muscovite mica has a negative charge over the pH range 2–12. The muscovite mica did not float in the presence of NaOL alone. However, the recovery of muscovite m...

Synergetic Effect of the Mixed Anionic/Non-Ionic Collectors in Low Temperature Flotation of Scheelite

The synergetic effect of four octaphenyl polyoxyethyienes (TX) on low temperature flotation of scheelite at 9–11 ◦C was investigated through flotation experiments, and the adsorption mechanism was studied by way of surface tension, zeta potential, and adsorption measurement. The results show that the presence of the four octaphenyl polyoxyethyienes can improve scheelite flotation in a low conce...

The Effect of Superficial Feed Velocity on the Column Flotation Recovery in Comparison with the Conventional Flotation Cells

Flotation is the most important process for concentrating mineral ores. This process may occur in any vessel such as column flotation, which has been used widely during the last decade and the conventional flotation cells. The effect of superficial feed velocity on the copper recovery was investigated using pilot-scale column flotation of "Sarcheshmeh Capper Complex". The results were compa...
